Christina Castro was speeding at over 70 miles per hour on Franklin Street in Worcester, Massachusetts last week. At that time, she lost control of the car and crashed. One of Castro’s young sons died as a result of personal injuries sustained in the auto accident.
On Monday March 11, Castro was involved in a first car accident. Instead of stopping her car and exchanging information with the driver of the other car, Castro attempted to escape the scene of the motor vehicle accident by speeding away. Castro drove at well over 70 miles per hour before crashing her car a second time.
Castro’s three young sons were in her car at the time of the second auto crash. Castro’s 3 year-old son, Jayden Figueroa, died at the scene of the automobile accident. Castro’s 7 year-old son was rushed to a nearby hospital emergency room and remains in intensive care with serious personal injuries. Castro’s 5 year-old son sustained a minor personal injury.
Castro was arrested at the scene of the car crash and was arraigned at the Worcester District Court on March 12, on the charges of motor vehicle homicide and endangering the welfare of a child.
