Needham, MA Car Accident Causes Building Evacuation Due to Gas Explosion Scare.

A Needham, Massachusetts office building had to be evacuated earlier this month after an elderly woman crashed her car into the building’s gas meter, causing natural gas to pour out.

The accident occurred at around 10 AM on Thursday, October 4, when a woman, whom witnesses described as being in her early 90s, crashed into the building’s gas meter.  The woman then proceeded to back up into several parked cars, pushing one into a fence.

The driver sustained non-life threatening personal injuries and was taken to a local hospital emergency room.  No one else was injured in the car accident.

Police are not sure what caused the woman to crash her car.  They are currently investigating the auto crash, and intend to cite the woman involved for her dangerous driving.
