Annapolis, MD authorities report that Curtis Proctor was fleeing after stealing a car when he was involved in a car accident. At that time, he lost control of the motor vehicle, causing a multi-car motor vehicle accident.

The auto crash was so severe that fire crews were required to extricate Proctor from the vehicle. While the auto accident and rescue were taking place, the owner of the car reported it as stolen.
